2002 State Race # 3 was rained out
(The
event will be rescheduled)
The weekend was not a
total loss though.
There were a
number of drivers that came for
the State race and still wanted to run.
So, Sunday when
the rain stopped. I put together a Bandit Run For Fun
event.

Thanks to these drivers and a few
not pictured.
The track was dried using towels
and the racing started.
They helped me show that if
you remove any standing water the track will dry in a very short amount of
time.
Thanks Guys and I must admit that
without your help I would have never got the racing in before dark.
You all know how close it
was.
For those that were not
there. We ran 10 heat races and 5 mains in just under 5 hrs.
Thanks to the drivers help I was
able to get the Bandit Run For Fun completed.
Many of you drivers know I take a
lot of pictures to show our support to you our drivers. I must
apologize to you as I was not able to take many pictures of the event
because of the race I was having with Mr. Sun.
At any rate below are the ones I
did take and again want to Thank all of
the drivers for staying the weekend and hope that everyone had a good time. I am
sure many of you thought I was nuts for being on my knees with a towel trying to
dry off the track. I knew it would work and with your help it did.

The three pictures below were
taken as the sun was going down and in the last minute of the 1/8 Scale A
Main.
The drivers had just enough light
to finish the race.
I was not sure how the pictures
were going to turn out but I took them anyway.
I am sure you guys thought I was
nuts trying to take pictures in the dark right?
But as you can see except for the
first few I took before I put my camera on the ladder.
They turned out pretty
good. Next time I will have the
tripod just in case.
Of the seven pictures shown
above. Only one was taken before the sun went down. So if you see me with my
camera after dark don't worry. If I do things right the pictures will still look
Great.
This camera will do
everything but cook pancakes.

Our next event is The Bandit Club Race # 2 and will be run Nov. 23 & 24 2002.
