RC Mower Project Page 4 (The radio Box).
There are a few safety devices that I have on the mower. Click the pictures for more details about them.
I have moved the radio box so it is easy for me to open when I store the mower. My mower building has a shelf that runs across the back wall where I park the mower. The front of the mower sits under this shelf. This means with the radio box under the hood, I have to pull the mower back in order to open the hood to get into the radio box. So to keep from having to raise the hood. I have moved the radio box and placed it just below where the steering wheel use to be. The mower has no steering wheel or seat. It is full time Radio Controlled mower.
A small bracket was added to the outside of the dash panel to mount the radio box to.
Here is a look at the way it was setup when the radio box was under the hood.
A small bracket was added to the inside of the dash panel to mount a servo and the radio box to.
All the servo and driver wires are placed inside the box.
The antenna runs out the top of the lid of the radio box.
Once the hood is lowered every thing is covered very well.
