Here is a look at the basket.
Looking down on the top of the basket you can see the fuel bottles. The bottle that sits upright is the pilot light fuel. (blue line) The fuel bottle that is sitting upside down is the burner fuel. (red line)
The burner fuel passes through the coil and is heated by the pilot light before it is burned. (This causes the fuel to burn hotter.)
Here you can see the servo that controls the burn valve. The model balloon works just like the big balloon does. You burn to heat the air inside the balloon. The hot air makes the balloon fly.
The raw fuel comes in at the bottom and goes up through the preheat coil then back down and up through the center of the preheat coil. When the valve is opened raw propane is sprayed up through the preheat coil and when it hits the pilot light you get a hot flame. (three to four feet high)
Looking down you can see the pilot light (the tourch head), the preheat coil (the round coil) and in the center of the preheat coil on the base is the burn fuel supply.
